Miles Ahead Entertainment was created to help songwriters spend less time worrying about the business behind their music and more time doing what they actually love: writing.

There are a lot of moving pieces behind every song. Registrations, royalties, catalog information, split sheets, paperwork, and all the little details can get confusing fast. Miles Ahead helps keep those pieces organized and makes the business side feel a little less overwhelming.

The goal is simple: make sure your songs are organized, registered where they need to be, and set up to collect the royalties you earn, while making sure you understand what’s happening with your catalog along the way.

I started Miles Ahead Entertainment after seeing how easy it is for talented songwriters to get lost in the business side of their music. A songwriter can write a great song, but there’s still a lot that has to happen behind the scenes after the song is written.

I wanted to create something that felt different, somewhere songwriters could ask questions without feeling like they should already know the answers, and have someone in their corner to keep track of the details.

Miles Ahead is built around being organized, transparent, and approachable. You should know what’s happening with your songs, where they’re being registered, and what you’re being paid.

Hi, I’m Liz Miles, founder of Miles Ahead Entertainment.

I’m currently back in college studying Music Business at Belmont University in Nashville, and I started Miles Ahead because I found myself drawn to the behind-the-scenes side of the music industry, especially the details that help protect the work songwriters put so much into creating.

I’m still building my career in the music business, and I’m not interested in pretending otherwise. What I can offer is someone who genuinely cares about getting the details right, asking questions when something doesn’t make sense, staying organized, and continuing to learn as the industry changes.

For me, Miles Ahead is about building something alongside the songwriters I work with and helping to make an often confusing part of the music business easier to navigate.
